The Helensburgh and District Branch of The Royal British Legion Scotland make a difference every day to the lives of Scotland's veterans, by providing community, friendship and practical advice. Whether these veterans left the military service recently or many years ago, the Branch is always available to offer support and advice the best way we can.
Membership is open to the ex-service community and their dependents, those still serving, and all those who support the aims and objectives of the organisation.
The Branch was officially reformed by our current Chairman Mr Geoff Coles in September 2021. Since then we have grown in both the Branch Officers and members.
Branch Members were invited to Hermitage Academy Secondary school as part of their 'Armed Forces Day' to talk about their experience of serving in the armed forces.
Our monthly meetings are an informative way for you to hear what the Branch officers have been involved with in-between meetings, and what events and social outings are scheduled for the future.
We also make time for fun! The quiz and raffle at the later part of the evening and out social nights are always popular, and there is always time for a coffee...or beer, and a catch up.
